Google Does Not Use Keyword Meta Tags
Here’s a question I get asked a lot: Can’t you just add the keywords to the site with the Meta Tag? “Well, I could, but it doesn’t really work that way. Because if it did, well, everyone else would too.” My usual ineffective answer.
Matt Cutts from Google posted a nice simple video that will hopefully clear this up for the masses.

Readable Readability
With web applications such as Readability or (my favorite) Readable, it’s much easier to read articles on screen.
(UPDATE: Add Safari Reader to the list. A built-in browser feature FTW.)
This raises an interesting question: Why isn’t typography, more specifically readability, given more priority in web design?
At the very least, I could imagine a built-in browser feature on a site that would overlay the article over the page when activated (like a seamlessly integrated Readable.)
While that would be cool, it would be nice to see the news organizations, bloggers, or anyone publishing any amount of written content on the web take this into consideration. Perhaps treat it like a standard?
