Why You Need to Try GigPark
Last week I listened to an interview with the founders of the site GigPark.com. It’s a social based recommendation service that makes it very easy for people to recommend different service-based businesses to their friends. I thought I would try it out, so I signed up for an account (easy) and was making recommendations within that minute. Very usable site I must say.
A few observations:
GigPark has not really taken off yet in my area, I think I might have been the first to sign up from here. I recommended my realtor, Fred Schmidt, Jr. As well as a Carpet Cleaning/Restoration company Floodman LLC.
The next morning, I needed to contact Fred and after Googleing him I was surprised to see my recommendation in the results, just below his site.
This got me thinking. Testimonials and word of mouth advertising can’t be beat. Broadcasting them over the Google, even better.
